There is a time in most all of our lives when we can say, “Yes, I received counseling services and I benefitted.” If we could look at counseling as a normal need in the course of a person’s life-span, more and more people will utilize these services and benefit from the learning and growth that can occur, as a result.  Further, it is the pro-active and strong person who seeks this type of treatment in realized moments of need.

I believe strongly in a holistic approach, which emphasizes the crucial importance of achieving a balance within all components of healthy living—emotional, social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual.  In addition, you, as the client, are supported in developing your own individual, strength-based treatment plans.  We will seek solution-focused approaches to problems and challenges.  Through a Cognitive-Behavioral focus you will  become more aware of your own inner voice and self-talk, realizing and practicing self-nurturance skills.  As social and family relationships are the cornerstone of personal and social adjustment, Family Systems concepts will be  introduced and utilized in order to enhance relationships. In addition, I believe in utilizing mindfulness, meditation, and basic relaxation techniques. The ultimate goal of therapy is to support and empower you to optimize well-being and personal fulfillment.
