For many, making the decision to seek therapy can be a challenging or difficult decision. However, this decision can be one of the most positive and life changing experiences for many individuals. Everyone will experience difficult times of change, growing pains, grief, or heart break within their lives. We all experience times of struggle whether it be an external or internal.  My goal as a therapist is to eliminate any fears or worries about therapy and make this experience as positive and beneficial to each person I have been given the opportunity to work with.  I believe in a holistic approach with an emphasis on nurturing a individual’s heart, mind, body and spirit. I like to build a complete picture on each person’s emotional, mental, and physical health as well as their relationships and social behaviors to better gain a full picture of you as an individual and what you would like to work on. I believe that by looking at all aspects of a person and their life we can work together in creating more self-awareness as well as personal growth to facilitate positive changes in your life and overcome the obstacles you may be facing.

I enjoy working with children to adults, with a specialty in teenagers and young adults. I provide services in individual, couples, and family therapy.  My experience comes from both an inpatient and outpatient hospital setting working with individuals in intensive outpatient therapy. I have seen a variety of issues from chronic depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in working with these issues and believe in an eclectic approach incorporating other counseling theories such as Rogerian, Jungian, and Gestalt. In my graduate work, I have done research on first responders and mental disorders and addictions as well as research on sexual abuse in children. I have extensive training in creative counseling modalities such as the use of therapeutic art techniques, music, yoga, and deep breathing. I am also a member of the American Counseling Society, the Association For Creativity in Counseling, and the Ohio Counseling Association.

My goal is to provide you with all the knowledge, tools, skills, and support to help you be your best self and live your best life. I am passionate about being genuine, supportive, and informative in working with each person and in developing a unique and collaborate treatment plan to help you accomplish your goals.  If you are looking for a therapist who can support you on your journey of awakening your self-conscious and learning healthy coping skills to help eliminate emotional obstacles and blocks please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to our journey of working together.
